Granulation Processes
Wet Granulation:
Involves adding water or solvent-based binders during the granulation process, After granulation, the material must undergo a drying process to remove excess moisture.
Dry Granulation:
This method does not require the addition of water or solvents, eliminating the need for a drying step. Instead of liquids, dry granulation incorporates binder powders and powder lubricants. It converts low-density, lightweight, and poorly flowing materials into high-density, improved flowable products. The resulting granules can be directly compressed into tablets without further drying.
